Serenaide's performance yesterday at BarNone was extra captivating. reason being, they played a surprise cover of The Smiths. my personal favourite song at that. the crowd would attest to their fine performance. yesterday's gig could very well be my last musical treat for a long while. i'm glad it ended on a memorable note. i would indeed remember There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.

La-Salle's graduating graphic design students are having their showcase till June 5th. do drop by. a bowl full of mentos & commemorative badges await you. oh, plus a "door gift" which comes in the form of unique poker cards. kool stuff. how i wish my school's department would stop giving out boring brouchures & handouts during exhibitions.

Monday
Ok We've Grown
gathered some of the secondary school kids for a quick bite and catch up on things. it's comforting to know that everyone is still a phone call away. the girls are such masterminds when it comes to networking. news spread damn fast. it's a good thing for this situation though. the more the merrier.

they used to sit in the same row back in class. things never change.
she wants to be with him. even though it has been years since any progress is made. the dude's still shy bout it. the expression says it all. jual mahal at it's best.

Tuesday
took advantage of the cheap bowling prices in school. we came at a bad time. while we were bowling, an entourage of 1st yr students came into the bowling centre as part of their orientation. the blardy tour guide made us who were playing feel like animals in the zoo. he said "As u can see, some 3rd yr students are having fun bowling during their holidays." we looked at the 1st yrs, they looked at us. fun indeed. most balls end up in the gutter. the pressure to perform was unbearable.
the hentam/rembat game. he accidentally whacked the screen. shows how engrossed one can get.
clincing business deals while bowling. this is what u call talent.
different people different style.
our favourite mode of transport. ultraman felt like wearing jeans that day.
standing broad jump has a whole new meaning now. it's knee broad jump.
the field caretaker. after a hard day's work, all he wants to do is just sit back & say "ahhh this is the life."
Wednesday
went to warong nasi pariaman to bedal the ayam lemak along with other klasik dishes. worth the travelling time dining there. still wondering how the waiter pakcik can carry lots of dishes on 1 hand...
too full to even look at the camera.
sitting pull ups onboard the bus is no joke. go ahead and try.

Wet Saturday
by the time we arrived at the esplanade library, the marilyns were already playing their last 2 songs. the weather slowed us down. oh well, spent a great deal of time after the set reading Mojo and Rolling Stones at the library. with the perfect air-con chills, only a bed would help complete the perfect sleep.

i was browsing through the list of names of people who are attending the graduation ceremony cum 28th July. after 3 years in school, i thought i pretty much knew the people who are in the same course as me. now i'm curious who are these people whose names i've never come acrossed before. who is boolsambatra pensie? who is florentine halim? guess all these question marks will be answered in July. most of all, i'll be looking forward to know exactly who is halim's daughter. nama style...

there is a tendency for my school server to crash when the time comes for students to check their results online. 8.30am was the designated time today and if you are 5 minutes late to log in, chances are you won't get in due to the high traffic. i passed through the system on the dot but my friend didn't. he said "the time waiting without knowing is agonising". he was of course kancheong over the results. i, for one, didn't really help much either.
