The Bajet Crowd & The Primary 5 Crush
before i start with last saturday's outing with the secondary school kids, i have to say that my camp is without a doubt, a fun place to be. with a trainee's lounge packed with computers installed with fast loading internet, dartboard, carroms, a pool table, arcade games, table tennis and a teevee along with a vcd player. not forgetting, the auditorium would change into a movie theatre reeling the band of brothers series dvd during lunchtime. plus the lights are dimmed creating the perfect movie atmosphere. furthermore with the tea breaks, time seems to pass real fast. we do work hard and play hard. and now the malay dudes of my company have to put up a dikir barat show for the upcoming deeparaya celebrations of the camp. rehearsals have been all fun and laughter considering most of us have no dikir barat backgrounds whatsoever. ain't easy coordinating the nifty moves.
well, saturday's turnout was just ok as most of the kids couldn't make it due to their busy schedules. due to work or having to spend time with their boyfriend/girlfriend during the weekends. nevermind, as long as they keep in touch, i'm happy enough.

miss yanee "makan sambal like nothing gitu", raihan "teary eyed sambal girl", rohany "semakin sihat"

we actually ate outside of the restaurant premises. it was that packed.

it's all smiles when the tummies full.

what's left of the original 1E kids. raihan vintage junkee, the-kid-who-couldn't-get-along-with- the-girls-back-in-sec-1 and yulleana the hewlett packard girl.

the kids who endured 5 years under a strict discipline master. where skirts shouldn't be above the knee and no centre parted hair. the times have changed now.

what's left of the boys.
finally.....

no, she's not my girlfriend. seow bo. it's a little known fact i do watch malay movies. well, this lass is maria farida. she starred in some flick back in 1995 with fellow actor Azhar Sulaiman. it does help Accapan was in the comedic film too. i'm hoping Suria would feature the movie this coming hari raya holidays or something. it'll definitely glue me infront of the teevee. in the meantine, do i hear a "siapa bilang gadis melayu tak menawan~~~"

Painting On Impulse
somehow i got restless looking at the same graffiti wall i did 3 years ago yesterday. went to the storeroom and dugged out leftover tins of paint. painted the night away and continued to touch up after noon today. oh well, i'm not artistically inclined so this simple design would do i guess. hopefully it'll be a popular spot for picture taking when friends and family come over.

pardon the featherduster for it was painting/spring cleaning day yesterday.

applying the stamping method to colour the inner swirl.

not exactly Pink Floyd's version of "The Wall" but oh well.
going out in a while to meet the same old secondary kids for iftar. it's been a while seeing them all. till then...

15 guys, a girl and hajah maimunah

dinner with the spanner & screwdriver kids at hajah maimunah yesterday. it's such a perk having a platoonmate whose mum is the manager of that restaurant. we booked the tables like a week earlier without much hassle. of course the buffet spread was great and we made full use of the time given up till 8.30pm topping up on the dishes and desserts. the usual unruly laughters caused by the motley crew filled the 2nd level of the restaurant and yeah, it was good times indeed. left the restaurant with our bulging tummies. now do i hear tummitrim?

collided with the platoon 1 kids. traffic light junction photoshoots are kool.

backstreet boys of geylang

posing with the usual boring hari raya set up at tanjong katong.

NS guys do need their ice cream ok. it's a morale booster. seriously.

the hilarious story telling session.

snapple galore @ al-majlis.

couldn't resist this shot. got all excited seeing a makcik with a sleeping pakcik as the pillion.

Minimum Wage Boys & Jessica Simpson
it's a rare occasion for guys to unanimously decide on 1 movie. usually everyone would have different views and a debate would start on which movie to watch. guess jessica simpson in Dukes Of Hazzard do bring people together. if only she had more screen time.

we happen to have the same hairdo. we're not from a rebel gang btw.

all eyes on the boy whose under arrest.

the spanner and screwdriver boys at zal's chalet. freeflow of juicy chicken wings.
on another note, i have no idea why i wrote the previous entry. i don't really know if it struck a chord with you readers but i guess it's just one of those days you just sit down and ponder hard and put thoughts to words.
