East Coast Soccer Boys & A Classmate's Wedding
life in camp just gets better. the entire ATW boys along with the superiors had a "cohesion day" at east coast where soccer and the bbq hijack was the main highlight last friday. great fun having the ball accidentally kicked into the huge monsoon drain only to turn up in the open water thanks to the current flow. half cooked chicken wings didn't deter the hungry kids as we hijacked as many bbq-ed wings and otak otak's and sat far away from the cooking site. all in the name of escaping area cleaning. of which we then made way to esplanade once again for laughters and the excitement of catching the last train home.

budak pantai fc and their player manager on the right standing row.

the other half of platoon 3 who played frisbee.

no it isn't loch ness but the heroics of our master sergeant who saved the life of a ball in the open sea.

the rilek 1 corner crew and the hijacked meal.

yesterday marked the very first wedding i ever attended of a friend. i'm sure there's more to come and it's anyone's guess whose next.

us and the newlyweds.

of which after the wedding, the other 2 stopped by for raya and vanity shots of the wall and the trusty feather duster makes a another cameo appearance.
finally after a long while, some of the tekong kids had time to gather at linda's abode while watching soccer till 1am last week.

Central Fire Station Visit And The Crazy Aftermath
how ironic for a bunch of army dudes visiting the central fire station for a tour of the heritage gallery. of some who don't even know where the exact location of that building. cool trip nonetheless just because of the endless amount of photo oppurtunities with the kids. thank god we were dispersed from there. albeit all of that, it was the crazy jumps late at night which made us high. credits to aidil for all the snaps. oh, we missed the chance of taking a pic with fiona xie by a few steps yesterday. damn klasik lah she...

platoon 3 kids and the bronzed colleague

with the superiors at both ends

we can't even stand in a straight line. how to line dance like this.

who needs nike air shoes to jump mid-air. old sneakers would do. aidil seen here landing with his ballet/thumbelina pose.

when you're too tired, even granite flooring feels like a 5 star hotel bed
for more weird antics

Utterly Rare Snaps
the resident sneaky photographer fondly known as aidil "tengok-brake-bleh-steam" got some snaps of the dikir barat crew. such a rarity. a repeat of such situations is highly not-gonna-happen-again.

last practice before the real thing. it was on stage when sweat started to trinkle like running tap water. 1st time jitters.

trying to fit everyone into the camera phone screen.

the dude's who were hesitant on joining the dikir barat foray at first. since we could escape doing area cleaning and running 3km during healthy lifestyle days, we made the smarter choice of course.
The Under-21's
a weighing scale should be placed on every seat at every home when you're on the dining table during hari raya. from there you can constantly check your weight after every meal. for every home has the same threatening saying "kalau tak makan tak boleh balik." as we were visiting our superior's respective homes throughout last sunday, we shall not disobey their instructions for it'll only land us doing push-ups in baju kurung. and so, we gorged on the mee siam's, mee soto's, french loaf dipped with chicken curry (roti perancis cicah kari ayam) and the gallons of soft drinks. feeling all bloaty and waking up the next day feeling fat isn't really a nice way to start the day and so a diet plan is in place for this week.

the SP alumni's.

leman-minyak-tumpah, zul top scorer, last year's baju kurung & Lantai T. Pinkie

the ultra kool officer. he can really sing those oldies.

the chief and his apprentices.

the kid beside me always try to look fierce in every pic. the self confessed "ong bak." macam paham...

the guy on the right can't look straight at the camera. he'll get migraine if he does.

rid mohawk placing, 2 fingers spacing and a guy we fondly call toyol.

farhan the juntai.

at the staff sergeant's house around 11pm. still happy faces forgetting the next day was a working day.

the last minute free-for-all.
on an all different note, i noticed countless number of people stating their significant other's name on whom they want to meet. absolutely cliche. be original for once.

The Dwindling Raya Collections
true enough, uncles and aunties of mine realise i'm already working (NS isn't really working life but i'll just spare them the benefit of doubt) and receiving those green packets are a rarity. guess my time is up. nevermind, hari raya has always been about the kids. but seriously, i feel hari raya isn't that joyous without the presence of grandparents. how i miss my kool late grandma and grandpa. there seem to be an empty aura even when the venue of reunion is full of people. anyways, here are some of the pics of my small and humble familia.

the white home and it's inhabitants

truely a small familia

the lil cousins. the dude in white is seriously huggable.

it's all smiles even when life is at the mercy of a revolver.

1 thing i love about my auntie's house is the huge collection of toys thanks to the 4 year old rugrat love for toy ninja swords, guns, helmets and power ranger masks.

even grown ups aspire to be power rangers. the dakwah version that is.
