Auntie Rarity
the dad's little sister dropped by our shores a few days ago. why our shores as a description you might say. she hails from france after marrying a frenchmen 20 years ago or so. hearing her talk to her husband over the phone in fluent french is captivating. such smooth sounding words. she coming down to singapore is similar to the world cup. every 4 years she'll make an appearance. sometimes even 6 years. unfortunate that her 2 kids couldn't tag along due to school commitments. if not, you'll be looking at a blonde blue eyed teenage boy & a demure sweet looking girl.

the guest & the humble house

wonder if torn & tattered jeans would give a good impression to the french on singapore youths.
music news now. a band which got my feet tapping. vigorously tapping. 2 versions below. as always, enjoy.

thanks to the cliques at the workplace, i've been enlightened of the music genre called raggaeton. until now, i've yet to understand the concept while they raved on how sean paul is the coolest being on earth. having a rebuttal with them concerning the music i listen to would seem worthless. especially when the mentioned artist's song titled "Temperature" is played on the radio. there goes the start of weird hand movements & slick footworks. well, here's 2 albums that are definitely worth your penny. minus the headache of thumping music. trust is the key.

with quaint lyrics and tunes, this album is ace. released back in 1995, it's an album that would forge a rapport with you till the day your CPF is obtained. note the tracks I Spy, Disco 2000 & Monday Morning. undoubtedly repeatable.

1 of the title tracks says it all about the album. Special.
so what's your treasured music albums? and i don't mean unforgettable cd's such as The Best Of Gregorian or Lou Bega. with that, i'll leave you with a taste of Disco 2000.

Modern Age Mat Rockers & The Puzzled Kid
over the weekend, the folks of the house went to a rock gig way at downtown east. confusion & surrealism replayed around the mind of the kid of the household upon seeing the gig tickets they bought. from the lengthy conversation the kid had with the parents regarding the gig the following day, they really indeed had a ball of a time. nevermind, it's the kid's turn to strike back & have fun. boogey with Franz Ferdinand tomorrow.

the most popular rock icon among malay uncles playing checkers at the coffeeshop.

he whose always in tight fitting tees. luckily his solid voice makes up for the questionable clothes sizing.

Valentine & The Awkward Boys
as expected, couples today walked around hand in hand with the girl usually holding a rose, a heart shaped box or a soft toy and a megawatt grin to boot. seeing the guys patiently waiting for their significant other at the MRT with a rose in hand is pure smirking enjoyment to me. respect on their part forsaking their machismo self for a day. well, to the people who even bothered to celebrate such a day not worth celebrating in the first place, croon this song to your loved ones. just make sure your voice doesn't croak along the way or you have bad breath after eating slices of cuttlefish.

Fullerton Buffet Massacre & The Trishaw Hijack

a rare invite from an organization which came as a suprise for some of the "lao chao" dudes. the highlight wasn't really the "networking" segment between all the people present who were encouraged to share/exchange views on academics or careers. the real moment was chancing upon the only klasik newscaster in the entire media industry. for the word "starstruck" has a whole different meaning now. i'll let the pictorial link below do the talking yeah.

definitely a possible 8R sized picture in the room.

Warisan Tanaman & The Kena Punkd's

2 days after the fullerton event, we gathered at a friend's place for a so called "open house". the gathering somewhat turned out to be weird involving whiteboards with dollar sign scribbles & watch cleaning demonstrations. let's skip the topic and you'll be rewarded with an Usher impersonator with a felt hat in the 1st pic of the link below. only the hat makes the look. the rest, no comments.
