Fast Forward Rewind
here it goes again. the routine closure of what has happened in the last 365 days. personally 2006 by far in my opinion has got to be the most exciting and fastest year. so here's a list of why this year rocks. (in no particular order)
- birth of vintage junk (finally it happened)
- kings of convenience (most surreal and captivating gig. EVER)
- franz ferdinand (night where it was dance dance dance and more dance)
- coldplay (most feeling feeling gig thanks to Fix You as the last song)
- passing IPPT for both workyear (to think before NS i couldn't even pass)
- poptart (need i say more?)
- progress package (government depositing moolah to your account? klasik!)
- erm, purchase of clothes (my wardrobe's spilling out)
- KL trips (ramly burgers and A&W galore)
- setting up booths during flea markets
- knowing even more interesting acquaintances (nini stardust's number 1)
- exposed to more great music (voxtrot, the castavetes, the organ etc)
there's more but i'll just jot down these few. so do bring in the new year with an open heart and zest for life ahead. optimism is the order of the day and never let the negatives falter you. rise up against it and you'll find yourself smiling away happily. in short, may you guys have a psychedelic 2007.

Busy Is Spelled With Only One S Damn It
very very impromptu getaway with the boys & girls over the weekend. non stop ramblin action jackson going on with lots of drama along the way. one which involved a custom officer with dumbass backcombed hair (and can't even spell busy) who refused to let our VIP, Muzambo, from entering johor just because his passport photo was of when he was in primary school. what's wrong with trying to be cute nowadays? but nevermind, that photo of his too i couldn't take it. looked like some kid trying to audition for an aksi mat yoyo show with a jeffri din hairdo.
the congested room
getting around by train can be quite confusing. transfers everywhere and the announcement system has weird english diction.
mcdonald enthusiast, act cool, camera obscura covergirl.
nite out
all in all, pretty exciting trip with the 2 famous berita harian girls and the usual suspects. trips like these show how capable your friends are in staying up late and sleep in unlikely places. credits to Roo for mastering the art of sleeping with his mouth open over at The Loft. mad skills. most importantly, it shows how weird your friends can be. of which you can't really explain how a person could walk straight and bump into a huge ass pillar at KLCC and suffer a slight fever after the ordeal. respect. next up, twilight actiongirl somewhere in january gang?

this picture is so wrong in a million and one ways. thank god for my dark coloured tee. felt like in a wet t-shirt contest. this also shows why i avoid wearing white. imagine a white tee and all those sweat. sweet dreams indeed people.
in other matters, poptart was amazing. a pity though for the small turnout towards the end of the set. plus a bonus making friends with a bunch of crazy guys who didn't have any care in the world.

it's such a white lie if a person who eats sambal doesn't know the existence of this song. thanks to the Rock vcd i borrowed from a friend, this song from some ultra mat rocker band with flamboyant tapered pants, cheap tees and wild hair back in the day kept ringing in my head. i can't sing for nuts so i'm finding a karaoke buddy to sing this with me. you up for it laika stardust? the lyrics are so sincere, it hurts. haha.
