this fair lady of mine will be dressed in her graduation robe & mortarboard at NUSCC as i'm writing this entry. attaining a degree is no mean feat & achieving upper second class honours for her hard work is something to be proud of. surely her parents would be ecstatic. if i were to obtain a degree, my parents too would be so overjoyed that they might just buy me a ticket to Cancun for a holiday. so yeah, i'm proud of my ma'am for being the bright and determined girl that she is. for she's everything i'm not and i feel so blessed to have her in my life.

Goodbye Green. Hello Pink.
2 years ago at this very day only god knows how emotional it was separating with my parents to an island east of the mainland. keeping a straight face seems like the first macho trait to show but as night time approached, i couldn't help but miss my mum's routine hug before i sleep. worse still, i managed to sleep only at 5am & woke up 15 minutes later to fall in for breakfast. the shouts, taunts, sweat, confusion & the whole culture change was overwhelming. the first 2 weeks on that island & hearing my parents voice every night were the only solace i seeked. every single day wearing the uniform made me wish june 2007 would come by quickly.
2 years on, the day has finally come. you've no idea what we guys go through just to get back that pink plastic card. it isn't just a card, it's your life taken away for those 2 years.
